Terms of Use

Last updated 2026-07-10.

Acceptance

By using Deskbench you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the site.

The service

Deskbench provides browser-based utilities at no charge. All processing occurs on your device. We do not receive, store or process your files, and we have no ability to recover them.

No warranty

The tools are provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the tools will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any output will be free of defects.

Keep the original. Some operations here are lossy or destructive by design — compression discards image data, page deletion rewrites the document, metadata removal is irreversible. Always retain a copy of your source file before processing it. If a tool produces output you did not expect, your original is the only remedy available, and it is one only you can arrange.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Deskbench and its operators shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential or exemplary damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the tools. This includes loss of data, loss of profits, and corruption of files, whether or not we were advised of the possibility.

Acceptable use

You may not use these tools to process material you do not have the right to process, to infringe copyright or other intellectual property rights, or in furtherance of any unlawful purpose. Because processing is local, enforcement of this clause is a matter for your own conscience and your own jurisdiction.

Third-party components

These tools incorporate open source libraries, including pdf-lib, pdf.js, SheetJS, PapaParse and JSZip, each under its own licence. Those licences are unaffected by these terms.

Availability

We may modify, suspend or discontinue any tool at any time without notice. Nothing here constitutes a commitment to keep a given tool available.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the site operator resides, without regard to conflict of law provisions.

Changes

Continued use of the site after these terms change constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
